My Approach
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel challenging, but you don’t have to do it alone. I bring years of experience and a strong commitment to helping you clarify your goals and address what matters most to you—whether that’s everyday anxiety, stress management, substance use concerns, sexual health, or the lasting effects of trauma. Together, we’ll develop a thoughtful plan to support healing and growth.
My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from evidence-based practices, including EMDR, and take a holistic approach to support both emotional and overall wellbeing.
I strive to provide an affirming, respectful space for people of all gender identities, sexual orientations, races, and body sizes. Please note that I do not accept insurance, but I can provide monthly statements for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Feel free to email me with any questions or to see if we may be a good fit.
My Training
I hold a Masters Degree in Social Work from University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Social Work. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the District of Columbia, a Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland, and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Virginia.
For the past 13 years I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, treating patients with a variety of mental health concerns. While I have experience with a broad range of issues, I do have specializations in treating trauma and substance use.
I completed training in EMDR in 2018 and continue to learn through group and individual consultation.
